epic moment in music: Listening to Dragonforce. Especially when I first heard "Fury of the Storm" and "Through the Fire and Flames". Now that's what I call fast pitched rock music. And the vocalist sounds like Bon Jovi. Talk about awesome. The guitars are literally screeching and completely fast paced. Sometimes they almost sounded like they came from video games. And the drums are fast and magnificent.

once you start listening to some epic/fantasy metal bands, I'm sure you'll want moar.

EPIC ERA FOR MUSIC: 90's

Filipino bands such as the EHeads, Rivermaya, The Teeth, Razorback, Wolfgang, etc. came into the limelight and proved once more that Filipinos do have greatness in them esp when musically speaking

Ah, OPM music of the 90's is very unforgettable. Lalo na eraserheads nung buo pa sila at Rivermaya when Bamboo was still part of it. Unforgettable indeed. Ain't it nostalgic to listen to their old yet good songs once in a while? ^^

Indeed. I grew up to this and they forever have my respect. 90s OPM is good for me. Yes indeed. But my favorite music genre would be the 60s-70s.

I would also want to include one of Eraserhead's influences: THE BEATLES. If you listen to the early Eheads songs, you'd almost hear a little beatlemania sound right there. Sometime I pause to decipher who's singing. XD Anyway back to The BEATLES (yes I have to type it in all caps) if you guys heard "A Day in the Life" man... that's THE epic song for me. If you listen to it, like really listen to it, you'd understand my feelings for it. My words can never give it justice. It's just epic. I'd want that for my funeral song.

Oh oh and musicals! I so agree about Phantom of the Opera. My epic musical moment would most probably be Miss Saigon's "Please" The John and Kim duet. Argh... that's just awesome. When John was going to tell Kim that Chris was in the country but was already married. He wasn't able to tell Kim that Chris was married to another woman already because at the news that Chris was in the country, Kim broke off into brimming optimism, and then she comforts her child and tells her child excitedly that he could finally see his father. Their duet... John singing how unfortunate the circumstance was and Kim singing how happy she was to get to see Chris again. That's a very powerful duet for me. It's hope and despair in unison. Ah... *still getting the shivers*

Di kaya. Epic moments ng mga nasabi kong bands yung mga kanta na nabanggit ko.

Kasi goth sila tapos biglang nagkaron ng opera na kanta na hinaluan ng metal music. It was an epic moment.

Epic moment? When Frank Iero kicked Gerard Way in the nuts [for no particular reason] while they were in the middle of singing I'm Not Okay.

Yes I'm a fangirl. LOLOLZ.

Epic moment of music is in the 90s where Barry White, El Debarge, James Ingram and Al B Sure sang Secret Garden live... It was so damn epic, since it's one of Barry White's best composition ever.

When I see epic moment in music I always think of musicals. And right now since I'm listening to Evita... I am reminded of how EPIC Waltz for Eva and Che is.

With lines like:

(Che)
How can you claim you're our savior
When those who oppose you are stepped on,
Or cut up, or simply disappear?

(Evita)
So what are my chances of honest advances?
I'd say low
Better to win by admitting my sin
Than to lose with a halo

(Eva and Che)
There is evil, ever around
Fundamental system of government
Quite incidental

The fact that they're uhh.. waltzing while arguing and singing was damn epic. aaaand... the lines that sent shivers down my spine:

So go, if you're able, to somewhere unstable
And stay there
Whip up your hate in some tottering state
But not here, dear
Is that clear, dear?

HUHYEAH!!!!! Epic. Truly. Though it's not really a benchmark kind of thing I think when they made Waltz for Eva and Che, it was my first exposure to something of the sort. A political argument through waltz. :D
