I'm a shutterbug.

I'd love to have a DLSR. Right now, I'm only using my digicam as I experiment. I don't take lessons or attend workshops so I mostly learn on my own, too.

I have a fascination for macrophotography and conceptual photography.

But I'm really planning to be serious on COSPLAY PHOTOGRAPHY since it would combine my love for anime/manga, art and well, yeah, photography. (Anyone willing to be my model/cosplayer? Haha.)

We have a Canon PowerShot A580. I share it with my brother. It was worth 6,880php when we bought it (well our dad bought it from the U.S. and it was worth $137.60). Maybe it's much cheaper by now because the prices of electronic gadgets depreciate very fast.

cheapest buy would be a Canon Rebel XTi (400D) kit. i got it for php 27, 800 cash credit would be around php 29,000+

or if you're lucky the Nikon D40 is a good choice and its cheaper too. php 26, 995. the only place i recall having it is in trinoma.

but i'd go for the canon since its easier to use plus easier to find parts and accessories.

Red, what's a good DSLR for beginners?

ung gamit ko nga Canon rebel XTi/400D madali xang gamitin sobra me kasama p xang user guide para magamit mo xa ng maayos. un Nikon D40 kasi is known to be "sirain" its hard to find decent parts for it. kaso you need to shed out 27, 000+ php pa ra lng dun...if your able to find one, Rebel XT is a good choice din cheaper same interface pero lower megapix. tska hirap makahanap n nun out dated n kasi e. if your a big spender though go for the Canon 450D or its Nikon counterpart D60 both are around 36,000 php - 37, 000 php. its a bit pricey but its worth it. lahat n ng up to date na features asa dalawa n yan. and on a side note maganda after k bumili mag ipon k rin ng 750 php or kng kaya 1200+ php punta k ng cdr king tas b umili k ng tripod, either un aluminum or un "SLR" tripod nila. worth it matibay nman, so good buy un ganun.
