Contrary to all the fangirling and oshare kei love, I'm actually very much into rock. But it varies from the usual. ^^

How and when did you start liking rock music? Who/what were your musical influences?

I started liking rock music when I was 13, and it was all because of Slipknot and Megadeth.

What kind of rock music do you like most? Indie, metal, hardcore, emo, alternative, punk, goth or electronic?

Heavy metal and goth will always have a special place in my heart. <3 But to date, I am too much into Jrock and visual kei, it's crazy already. Jrock covers most of rock's subgenre anyway.

Who are the bands that you think only YOU know?

Rentrer en Soi and Nega. Rentrer en Soi disbanded last year, though.

Who are your favorite bands?

Slipknot, Megadeth, and Nirvana are included, but I'm not actively following them now. Still loving their songs, though, especially Slipknot's Vermillion Pt. 1 and 2. Good lord, I love that for life!

Currently, my favorite Jrock bands are 12012 (♥!!), the GazettE, Girugamesh, and Rentrer en Soi. Dir en Grey--hmm, just a bit now. Their rock ballads will always be priceless, but their other songs aren't as powerful in feeling these days.

LOL um, if there's someone here who's truly into Jrock, I'll love that someone forever and give him/her pie~ ♥

You were listening to Slipknot when you were 13??? Holy crap. I mean, I was still scared of that clown in Cranberries' Salvation video when I was 13. Hahahaha XD

Ahaha, I had issues as a kid, hence me liking scary stuff a tad bit too early. But Slipknot's just that awesome. 8Db

Me and my younger bro's main influence to rock was our neighbors who played a lot of rock songs during the 90s with live intstruments (the female vocalist sucked big time). My bro eventually favored metal/speed metal bands which also had an effect on me.

Wala akong top 10 list... kasi pag may nagustuhan akong track, yun ang #1 ko for one week tapos next week iba naman LOL.

1. Do you think Annette Olzon is better than Tarja Turunen?

2. What is your favorite Nightwish song?

1. I don't think its right to gauge the two. I mean both of them are great in their own right but they're just on different planes -- its like comparing rugbee to american football, they're similar but different at the same time.

With Tarja, Nightwish was a metal/opera act. Her vocals were very opera-ish, giving the band's songs a very atmospheric sound while Ms. Olzon bring with her a power/pop-rock sound. But if you're asking me who I like better, then I'd have to go with Annette just because I'm not really much of an Opera guy

2. I've been in love with The Islander ever since I first saw the music video mainly because it has a very native-folkish feel to it and God knows I love those kinds of songs. I mean I can listen to Jack Johnson's Witchi Tai To(God bless him for that song) or Enigma's Return to Innocence all day long and The Islander sounds like an old aboriginal slavic/norse folk song that was beautifully translated into english

1. Like Anomaly said, they are very much different. Tarja's vocals we're also good. Annette actually sounds like her (when Tarja's not doing her opera-ish thing). On Annette, former vocalist of Alyson Avenue, she made Nightwish's genre less gothic, but it's okay because they still are a metal band. I really can't tell who's better because both of them sound good. So I'd just say both them.
